Dr. Elizabeth Van Wie Davis, a professor at the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, recently presented a paper on US-China relations at a conference sponsored by the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad entitled ” China and the Emerging Asian Century.” The conference was held September 27-28, 2005.

While at the conference, Dr. Elizabeth Van Wie Davis met with a number of APCSS Alumni including Muhammad Masood Tahir Hanfi (EC 04-1), Director General of the National Assembly of Pakistan,Hanfi; Professor Raza (EC 00-2), Quaid-I-Azam University; Shaheen Akhter (EC 00-3), Research Analyst at the Institute of Regional Affairs; Nadia Mushtaq Abbasi (EC 02-3), Research Fellow at the Institute of Strategic Studies; Professor Salma Malik (EC 03-1), Quaid-I-Azam University; Moaazam Shah (EC 05-2), Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Anwar Chohan (EC 98-2), Director General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Commander Salim Mathew (EC 04-1), Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Defense.
