APCSS Name Change?

On June 18, 2013, in Courses, by APCSS Editor

The recent The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2014 includes a provision to change the name of the Center to the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies.  This proposal, by U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa (D-Hawaii), was approved last week by the House but wont’ be official until the Act is passed by the Senate and signed by the President. An update will be posted once the name change becomes official.

The Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS) is a U.S. Department of Defense institute in Honolulu, Hawaii.  APCSS addresses regional and global security issues, inviting military and civilian representatives of the United States and Asia-Pacific nations to its comprehensive program of executive education and workshops, both in Hawaii and throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
